If you destroy the pumps on the Geothermal Plant level, then when you visit Area 57, the Darwin Chamber 2 has no water, and you're forced to continue via Biomass Reclamation Center. Unfortunately going that route means that Darwin Chamber 3 doesn't get open, and you're completely stuck, unless you use the noclip code.

This patch should fix that issue.

NOTE: You must apply this patch before you enter Area 57. If you enter Area 57, then applying it will no longer be possible. It might be possible to still apply it if you extract your save file and replace the map files in it then making some changes, but I haven't tried it.

My work consisted only of going through his mod, opening the map files, finding the relevant code, and adding it to the game's map files. Note that his mod made many more changes to those maps; I only copied what's needed for this bug fix, leaving everything else as it was originally.

Instructions:
Open your game folder. Then open "base" subfolder. Create a subfolder called "maps" in it, if one doesn't exist. Copy the 2 files into that maps folder.

ZFR - a big thank you for this! Much appreciated, awesome little patch! I also hate having to use cheats and so far have only ever been forced to use them in the specific case of non-commercial, amateur maps made by modders and I didn't fancy making an exception for SiN which, by the way, I find to be more than very good so far! Thanks to your efforts, I can continue my playthrough the legit way!

Cheers

I found the problem in my previous playthroughs, if I only would have know about this fix.
Many thanks for taking the time doing it!

Edit: I posted about this in the steam announcement about the SiN update in case this can be "officially" patched.

Good idea. Thanks!
I've just experienced the bug. Fortunately, I make a save file at the beginning of each level so I just reverted 2 levels back and applied your fix before entering Area 57. It worked - big thanks!
***my mistake, sorry***
