Sometimes at random points in the game i get the following error:

Error: Dialog Event 'DVDCHR' 'NULL' Does not Exist

I'm playing the newest german GOG version of the game.

Happens to me aswell, some Mod or Dev, please we need a fix :(

I've played with german language when the error occured. I switched to english and since then the error did not happen again. I have to test some more.

the days i try to play the game and run in the "Dialog Event 'DVDCHR' 'NULL' Does not Exist" Error. First time i encountered it was the exit of the Castle at the Beginning of the game. I test something 1. I talked to the Merchand and got the Error 2. When i don't talk to him it is all fine.

I use the german Version

Same here...german version seems to be broken sadly :-(

Spanish language and I've reached here because I was looking for the same error, probably a bug to all the languages but English.

so? i still got the problem with the version installed. (1.23)
Thrice in the library.
First on the stairs after you saved the librarian and twice in the room with the kobold on the chest after you got the sling shot.

still got the Error but way less frequent. Enable "pixel perfect" instead of smooth or smart in the GFX enhancer or smth like that in the options. that fixed that for most of the time.
BUT!
some event won't trigger. Like using the telescope at the end of the great library. And the map isn't selectable for fast travel. So you have to switch between pixel perfect and smooth/smart.

Please fix this, Infogrames Europe SA / THQ Nordic GmbH.

Same issue here. I switched back to previous version (gog-15) : no more problem.
But the saves are not compatible between these two versions. I had to restart from the begining of the game :/

Same here, barely playable, it happens almost each 15 min...and it's a direct CTD. A patch is needed here.

i fixed the problem when i set the game silver.exe to run as admin and windows 8 compatibility mode.

Still no patch available? This bug isn't fixed in version 1.23

This random problem appears more frequently when you are more near of the end of the game.

You need to have a lot of patience to finish the game.
