You should send a support ticket and get proper help, especially if you are considering a refund. Still, you might as well post your system and OS specs here in the thread to get things going. From what I understand the mac version is actually an emulated windows version so there might be some kinks you need to iron out on your system to get it to work. Don't worry, the support staff is excellent and there are many forum users who can write up easy to follow instructions.

Should things end up not working even with help from customer support, you can ask them for a refund within 30 days of purchase.

To get the game to work simply read the support articles. In particular the last one.
