Is your system a laptop? If so, what's the screen resolution?

Petek: Is your system a laptop? If so, what's the screen resolution?
It's netbook with with max resolution of 1366 x 768 and Intel GMA 500 Graphics Processor. Full specs can be found here.

and this thread on WPC:

for possible help with your problem.
I've found a solution for a starting game problem:

[Alpha Centauri]
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1
DirectDraw=0
ds3d=0
eax=0
[PREFERENCES]
ForceOldVoxelAlgorithm=1

Unfrontunately, during the game, after some turns game crashes again....
If you can find a way to post a save game from right before a crash (perhaps through a file sharing site), we can take a look.
It must sound very stupid, but I've found a solution for this problem. Game cannot be forced to change the resolution on its own. Resolution must be forced to demanded right before starting game and it runs pretty well now. I've set 1024X768 instead of 1366x768 and it is good.
