I've been reading that Shogo supports widescreen resolutions at any level with the version that is provided. I have found that such is not the case. How can I change my resolution to 1920x1200 like the Widescreen Gaming Forum shows?

I believe you just open up autoexec in the game folder. Search for "screenheight" and "screenwidth" then set it as desired.
I attempted that by editing those lines to what I wanted & it winds up reverting back to the default. Maybe I should put the file as read-only & try it out again.

Sounds like a plan. Make sure you have launched the game and set all options there first before editing the autoexec. That might make a difference. Make sure you don't mix up your height and width and that they are valid values.

The instructions you found were for the original version, but I can confirm that the 'GoG' release does support Widescreen (though I don't know if there is a max resolution, I assume it's limited only by what your card/monitor can support).
I know that within the game, you are limited severely to your resolution options. If you check the graphics options through the initial launcher (DISPLAY):
In the Renderers section choose Direct3D (d3d) renderer
and in the Displays section, you should see your gfx card there...
After selecting your display, you should see a wider list of Selectable resolutions.
Personally, I play on my laptop, which runs at 1280x800... and thankfully, I can select that option "1280x800x16" from the Resolution section.
You shouldn't need to tweak any config files to get this working. Good luck, hope it helps.

Editing the autoexec I managed to get 1920x1200 working, so I don't know about any limits.
thanks for the resolution tip
I've got it running in 1600x1200 and it's lookin' good.
Thanks for this post ... editing the .cfg worked for me too.

I attempted to edit the config and got an error saying I couldn't save it. checked to make sure it wasn't read only and read only is unchecked so don't know what's up.

If your on vista or win7 and saved your game to program files you will need to run notepad as an administrator.
