After playing around a little bit, I've come with a fix to play Shogo on Windows 10

1. Install the game

2. Download the latest dgVoodoo 2 ( http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2/ )

3. Unzip dgVoodooCpl.exe & dgVoodoo.conf into Shogo root folder ("C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Shogo - Mobile Armor Division)").

4. Unzip the 4 .dll from "dgVoodoo2_62_3.zip/MS/x86" folder into the same folder.

5. Launch dgVoodooCpl.exe, uncheck "dgVoodoo Watermark" from the DirectX tab & Apply.

6. Activate DirectPlay In Windows 10 ( softlay.net/how-to/enable-directplay-windows-10.html )

7. Reboot the PC if prompted.

8. In Shogo's launcher, go to Display and select dgVoodoo API with your desired resolution.

9. Enjoy.

Edit: If you get a small black box, read the comments below

Followed this to the exact letter however the game wont launch. Gives me a small black box and it doesnt even start....
Don't forget to use the Shogo: Mobile Armor Division Widescreen Patch besides dgVoodoo too.

Looks like any Lithtech engine game will not run at my Windows 10 PC (Blood II, Shogo, No One Lives Forever). All other games work great.

What exactly is the problem you encounter with these games on Windows 10?

After I launch any Lithtech engine game small black box at center of the screen appears and then it just closes. If you look for the forums, there are lot of people having this problem with Windows 10 & no one has a fix for it.

I have tried: dgVoodoo, Windows 10 Fix for Blood II, but will also work Shogo: Mobile Armor Division - https://github.com/elishacloud/dxwrapper/wiki/Blood-II-The-Chosen, Widescreen Patch & checked that DirectPlay is active.

Edit: Also tried Might & Magic IX, Aliens vs. Predator 2 (also use Lithtech engine) and have exactly same problem.

I think I can help you. I had a similar problem with Blood II after switching from Windows 7 to 10 but I got it fixed with some help from the people in the dgVoodoo forums.

Go to your Windows 10 system control and then to add/remove programs . Check how many entries for e.g. Blood II are available. You should be able to find the following entries:

"Blood II - The Chosen"
"GOG.com Blood 2"

Uninstall the one that says "GOG.com Blood 2". Don't worry this will not uninstall the game. This will just remove the ForceSimpleWindow compatibility mode for the game. After it's gone dgVoodoo etc. should work with the game.

Here's the thread at vogons.org where people helped me fixing that problem: https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=71893

Do the same for Shogo and remove the one that says "GOG.com Shogo - Mobile Armor Division".

I hope this works well for you as it did for me.

Thank you for trying for help me, but sadly it didn't work for me. I guess I just have to accept, that I can't play any Lithtech engine games.

I'll not accept defeat that fast. Please tell me step by step what you've done after installing any Lithtech game.

It depens for what game. I have installed Blood II, Shogo and Might & Magic IX from GOG Galaxy client.

For Blood II and Shogo there are Widescreen Patches + ddaw.dll wrapper for Win10 or dgVoodoo - I used v2.62.3. For M&M there is only dgVoodoo. Now I also deleted GOG.com Blood 2 & GOG.com Shogo from add/remove programs.
I found that disabling one of the "HID-compliant vendor-defined devices" in Device Manager (may take some experimentation to find which one), under Human Interface Devices, resolved the black box/not launching issue, both in Shogo and other Lithtech games.

Thanks, I actually got my game working with this. It was my wireless Steelseries headphones that prevented the game to work.
so does this game run perfectly on windows 10?
The main setting for me was moving the texture quality via the ingame Video settings to 'medium' textures. Weapons were grey w/no texture, general flickering)

I had to disable 2 items, but this worked for me as well. (after doing all of the above stuff, so I don't know if it was the final piece of the puzzle or if all you had to do was disable HID components).

Widescreen fix lets me use my entire 4500x3000 display!
