...2 hours of testing, see the image and check all the boxes exactly the same, as they are. It will be now fully working, beer for me :)

This may actually work. Surprised no one replied yet.
The image shows windows vista... you shouldn't have any issues in win7. I just got around to copying all my shogo files over from my external harddrive and the game booted up no problem

Well as a person who recently bought the game from GOG, and installed it and attempted to play it without editing anything on my windows 7 computer...it didn't work, I had the same issues as the first poster, until I did what was shown above.
Doesn't work with either Shogo or Blood 2
Glad these settings work for you, I have yet to have any success getting it to run. Best I get is the small black box of it launching and my mouse locked in the upper left quadrant of my screen. Yet to even run it once. I am also having the issue with the Client MFC crash. Fiddled with all the settings listed, compatibility, affinity, software rendering, anti virus, nothing works. Any suggestions would be great.

Shogo could lockup like that on WinXP, used to be a vsync problem. Old solution was something in the command line like +maxfps72 or something such.

I have this issue and the boarder issue running on window 8.1. Sucks.
Yeah, these tricks didn't help me. I even tried making sure it runs on one CPU core. I just got over having this same issue with Blood 2, and I completely forgot that Shogo uses the same engine. This crashing is getting really old...
I'm unable to play because of this problem and the "Fix" posted here does not work for me.
My apologies for the necro, but I could really use some help.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and the game invariably crashes on launch. The launch window itself works fine, but the program gives me the "Client MFC Application had stopped working" message and stops when I try to start the game itself. The solution proposed here does not appear to work. Can anyone help me, please?
Tried this, still no luck. Could be because I'm on Win 8.1 x64 though.
Alot of people are reporting good results with the dxgvoodoo2 wrapper for directX11 systems. Dunno if dxgV2 supports 64 bit though.

Excuse me, what is a dxgvoodoo2 wrapper, where can I find one and how do I go about using it?

Also, I'm using a 64-bit operating system. Would it still work?

Hi, I've never actually used the progam as I'm on an older version of directX. If you have win8 or above you're probably in good shape. Read the instructions carfully and don't be shy about popping into the vogon forums if anything comes up.
