I purchased the deluxe edition a few months back, and even though I did not have as much time for the game as I would have liked, I kept it installed..

Today I see that GOG Galaxy is trying to update the game - maybe the one DLC that is not yet installed? - but failes with error code E6 "you don't own a valid copy of this game".

I can start and play it without problems. Verifying the game files does not help.

Do you have any ideas?

Thanks,
Bernd
I have the exact same Problem. Hope there is no Problem on Frogwares side of things. They are having a very hard time anyway. Please GOG, look into this problem if you can.
Same problem here. Is it pure luck that we all are from germany? I am discussing the matter for days now with the GOG support. Seems they don't read here, so I will link this in my next answer. And before you ask: At the moment they have not even understood where the real problem ist.... Asking if I have checked the checkboxes on DLC Tab of the Games installation. Insisting that I can check/uncheck DLCs on that page witch is spinly not possible (for me only?). What's true is, that the two DLCs are unchecked of witch one seems to cause the actual problem.

Hi Guys,

I now have confirmation from one of CDPs tech specialists.that it is a problem with the Galaxy client.
Seems not to be a small one, but that is only a guess from me.

So we will have to wait for it to be fixed.

Hello,

I also had the issue and that's what the support ask me to follow... With a great success!! Hope this will help others people too :-)

The steps:

- Please could you try to retry the "update" and then immediately cancel it so that you have the option to start your game.
Personnal note: it's really about start the update and cancel it, not just clear the failed update ;-)

- Once this is ready please go back to the DLC selection. You should be able to uncheck the DLCs.
Personnal note: do not open the game page or it will start the automatic update => go to your collection and perform a right click on it instead or a left click! Then "installation management" (not sure of the exact name since my interface is in french) and "DLC" tab!

- Please uncheck the DLCs and try updating your game once again. Should the issue be gone please try adding one DLC at a time to the game.

It totally worked for me, have a nice day!
