Is there still a problem with patching on GOG for this game ? Is it up to date with steam version (1.5.1) ?

Very good question, I was about to buy the game here too. Then I read the review stating that the developer abandoned the game on GOG and current versions are only available on Steam. Can anybody who owns the game maybe check in his library what the current version here on GOG is?
i guess it will be released at least 6 months later over here like every other patch

team 17 doesnt give a damn about gog

I know this is a late reply, but the game on GOG at this moment is 1.4.
I'm sure you know by now that the game is at 1.6 on Steam, heading to 1.7 soon. Don't buy it here.

Or don't buy it at all.

sorry bud mine says setup_sheltered_1.4_(gog-3)_(6710)

previous version setup_sheltered_2.1.0.3 downloaded 31.01.2017

so i guess we'll have to wait
Damn, I was going to buy this game until I saw that the GOG version isn't being updated.

GOG should require that updates pushed to other sales platforms have to be pushed to GOG as well, in a timely manner, or the game will be withdrawn from sale.

Or better yet, GOG should simply withhold payments to publishers until they update their games to have parity with Steam or whoever else. 10% fine deducted from withheld payments every 30 days they are being held. That would incentivize them!

UPDATE: I questioned the developer about this over on their forum, and they had this to say: "We tend to update the console and the GOG version at the same time. It’s frustrating for users of GOG, but rest assured it will definitely get updated." So, there from the horse's mouth. Maybe someday, too, I'll get around to buying their game.

Well i wanted to buy it now since its on special but now i will not buy it at ALL if this is how the devs feel.

Why should i support the devs if they cannot even be bothered to update the game. It should be updated on Steam and GOG at the SAME time.

Now i will not buy this game at all and remove it from my wishlist. I do not support arrogant and lazy devs.
Yeah, looks like I'll be skipping this game. At the price that is offered I was willing to overlook the deep design flaws that I've read about in reviews to give this unique game a try, but not when the devs and/or publisher treat paying customers like garbage by not even keeping their game updated on all platforms. What a joke. F these guys, I'll not buy another thing from them, this treatment is the worst.
Looks like they just released a mobile version - yet they still won't update on GoG. -_-
nevermind; can't read

In fairness to the devs it seems they are pretty small and maybe they don't have the resources to update everything at the same time. Apparently GoG is a bit more work to update because of testing? I think they should do a better job at communicating when updates hit and what version GoG version is on.

Also it looks like 2 hours ago the Changelog was updated and shows 1.6 so would love to hear if users received the 1.6 update? Weirdly the changelog for 1.6 is at the bottom. It might be better to sticky and create new changelog posts, than it is absolutely clear what update the game is on.

I am waiting to buy it here when they get a bit more consistent. I was going to buy it today but communication is just too muddy right now. I don't hate steam and have a ton of games there but I am going to move as many as I can and purchase games that are on both platforms on GoG instead of Steam.

Here is there blog for anyone interested.

Normally the Steam / GOG updates are identical and only need to be integrated by Steam and GOG of the existing version. GOG is sometimes very muddy.

At Craft the World the first DLC was not offered for months. After I had written to the developer, it did not even take a day, since GOG offered the DLC. After that, I bought Craft the World.

A request to the sheltered developer regarding updating (v1.6) on GOG I just sent >>unicube.net/contact-us<<. I'm also interested in Sheltered, as I did at Craft the World. ;-)

So now is 1.6, not 1.5.1 or 1.5.

Hello,
on Steam Sheltered is now on version 1.6 and version 1.7 was announced a few days ago.

Unfortunately Sheltered is still in version 1.4. Was the updating for GOG terminated or is it up to GOG that Sheltered does not get any more updates?

GOG has not updated to 1.5, not to 1.5.1 and not to 1.6.

With friendly greetings

Awesome thanks. Lol I thought you were a dev originally giving updates =)
The Long Dark is also not updated correctly at GOG. GOG has version 1.12, currently is final 1.15. GOG has real problems.
