hey folks...

why do i need Mac OS X 10.7 or newer if i buy the game on gog.com, but only need 10.5 or newer if i buy the same game on Steam?

is this a typo? different versions? i'm asking as i'm running 10.6 and would like to buy the game, but prefer to get it from gog.

any help is appreciated.

thanks...

Don't know why SRR is specifically set for 10.7 but oldest Mac OS X GOG supports is 10.6. Games may work on older systems but GOG only provides support for specified versions. Maybe they ran into issues on their 10.6 test machines? Maybe soneone with same Mac OS X version will post how it went on his/her machine.
maybe the gog installer requires 10.7 feature?

Most new Mac versions of games have stated 10.7 even though some of them don't actually require that version. It is a support issue:

GOG only guarantees it will work on 10.7 as this is what it was tested with. You would not be eligible for the money-back guarantee if you ran into problems.
