Will there be a Shadow Warrior 3? Or will Flying Wild Hog just release an expansion pack that picks up where the game left off?

Agreed. They're still trying to get this out on consoles right? If that's still the case then they are most likely dedicating all their personnel and resources to get a console release out the door (successfully). I'd say there could be a chance after the game gets a console release, gets a good reception, and has a good amount of purchases. If this was one of the larger companies like EA or Ubisoft, then whatever DLC would be just frivilous multiplayer; however, this is Flying Hog.

All that said it'd be great to get some content related DLC or post end-game DLC; however, I wouldn't hold out.

I hadn't realized it wasn't out for the consoles yet; that makes sense. At this point I'm sure the team is also working on Part 2 of The Bounty DLC (part 1 implies there will be a second part).

Maybe we'll hear something about Shadow Warrior 3 toward the end of the summer or in the fall.

Okay I goofed, it did just get released on PS4 and Xbox1 just last week. This is what I get for not checking. That said, looks like it got a lot of look-warm reviews and got a hit for being locked in 30fps on consoles.

I didn't realize it was a part 1, so that does give me a warm feeling that more releases for this game is possible. If they did content releases similiar to Borderlands 2, that'd be sweet. I feel this game can be built on more and add lots of fun to it. I mean, as it stands I have more than 50+ hours in it (metrics on Galaxy is off since I run the game without it for better performance).

Now that both parts of The Bounty DLC are out will there be any news about Shadow Warrior 3? I'm guessing that a sequel is the works since the second game's ending was...abrupt.

Could be more DLC they're working on. I'm kinda expecting news on SW3 next year or early '19. One thing SW2 needs is more FREE DLC! \m/ Edit: Man I hope they're working on SW3

I might be in the minority here, but if they do get on with a Shadow Warrior 3 or expansion, I hope the tone of the plot is closer to what was in Shadow Warrior 2013. While it had its humor and was very much an 80's/ 90's pop action romp, it took itself seriously enough to build its world and tell a genuinely interesting story. That, and I liked how Wang himself goes through something of a journey, starting off as a devil-may-care merc and ending as an exhausted yet triumphant warrior who stayed loyal to his friend till the end.

In short, please Flying WIld Hog, stop tearing up the cool stuff you had. However, by all means, keep the game play in tact, because part 2 just about made up for its nonsense plot with its awesome game play!

For sure man. I love Saints Row, but the developers put themselves in a corner (sort of) with SR4 and made Gat out of Hell, then went on to .... Can't remember the name ... Agents of Mayhem. Disaster right there IMO. Wasn't Volition bought out by THQ Nordic?! If THQ find a way to revive Saints Row that'll be awesome. The story is there, but there's a lot of odd ball things to do, like a sand-box. SW1 was great, and SW2 was also great, though I'm starting to doubt a SW3 for this year. With 4K becoming mainstream (Not really, I'm thinking it's a gimmick to create an overflow of money, really a 27+ inch monitor and can barely read anything, pointless for a PC), probably will take more time and dough. Just my opinion there. Aurgh, time to finish my grog.

I hope whatever they have planned for SW is an expack. I wouldn't mind seeing them develop SW2 a lot more with things an expansion can bring.
