That's right, y'all heard me :)

Thanks to a very generous and simply awesome donation from community member Iain (you'll see him around wearing the Shadow Man icon :) ), Shadow Man now comes with the official 162 page Acclaim strategy guide, a quick reference card, and a redone map.

There should be no excuses now about getting lost in Shadow Man :P

Thanks again, Iain, for the fantastic content! Please, give this guy a hand the next time you see him :)

Thanks :)

Don't forget to give a big up to Judas also as he worked on putting all my scans into a single high quality PDF file overnight............Some going with 162 pages :)

Hope everyone enjoys the guide, has lots of info on the characters, enemies, weapons, voodoo artifacts and the likes. Not forgetting detailed walk through so there is no excuse for getting lost in Deadside anymore!
Great news!

Thanks to lain! :)
Thanks to you both, I hardly ever print something these days, but this is worth a trip to the copy shop ;)
This is amazing. Thank you very much, GOG, lain and Judas.

Particularly the early levels are quite confusing and maps are a huge help there.
Thanks to both of you for bringing the strategy guide to Gog. It really helps when your looking for all the dark souls. As far as not having a excuse for getting lost I have to disagree. I bought the guide back in the day and I still got lost. Since then I have played this game over 15 times on multiple platforms ( PSX, N64, PC) and some how or another I always get turned around or forget where certain paths meet. Every time I had to resort to drawing my on maps and indicating what path I went and which I passed by. It was guite the chore. Still, I haven't seen the new map so maybe it solved that problem. Anyway, I just wanted to say what a tremendous service you did for the Gog community, Especially the new players, Thank You

By the way, I never thanked Gog for bringing this to the site. If it wasn't apparent from the above this is one of my top 5 games of all time . So, Thanks :-)
Just a little FYI, the map you have bundled is one from google which has some extra drawings around the map, which are indeed helpful but are definitely not a part of the original map. I can upload a high res scan of an original map if you ever need one.

What is the name of the zip file you download from your GOG account? This is for curiosity's sake on my part :)

The map front and back are what is in the original big box version alongside the quick reference card

It is the same map that is on pages 134 & 135 of the official strategy guide

I would personally like to see this map you are talking about as I am unaware of anymore material for Shadow Man, why not scan it and put on here

I will take a photo with my phone of everything I have and put it on this post in about a half hour after I get the kids out to school.

The version I scanned map has two p's on the end and has the getting started text under it which is on the back.

I have attached everything that is in the big box version of the game and tagged myself with forum name and date on it also. This is the stuff I personally scanned for GOG and the community.

If your map has in the lower right corner a part number MAP141.02-FRE, then you don't have the map that Iain scanned :)

Both sides of his map have MAP141.01-UKV.
Hah, I feel like a right pleb right now. I'd used the windows search function to get the map up, and it opened the one I downloaded a few months back with the writing on which I totally forgot that I still had, and I must have got them confused. Sorry for wasting both of your time. :/
Huh, I need a password to open the PDF, did I miss something?

You shouldn't need it to open it only to modify it.
Ok, I'll try opening it up with something else.

Edit: Yeah, that was it.

It's great to finally have those! Unfortunately, I am having some issues opening the strategy guide. Each time I do so there is an error saying the document cannot be decrypted. It then suggests that I connect to Beyond Adobe Reader but every time I click to do so it says Internet connection cannot be established even though I am connected. Would you know anything about how to fix this?

Cheers!
