I just wanna start by saying I really appreciate Nightdive and the work that they are doing with their remasters. However I'm having some issues with this particular release. Specifically with it crashing constantly. At first they were very infrequent, like maybe 1 crash every 2 hours. Now that I'm 20hrs into the game they are happening nearly every 15 minutes. The game is pretty much unplayable for me at this point.

Looking at the crash logs its due to an access violation exception related to Vulkan. I'm running and i7 9700k, rx580 with 8gbs of VRAM, 16gbs of ram and I'm loading this game off a 6 month old SSD with over 100 gigs of free space. I'm also running this game on a 1080p monitor at 144hz with vsync disabled.

I did a clean install of windows 10 3 weeks ago, I've ran memtest86 and I have 0 errors with my ram, crystaldisk says my SSD is more than healthy. Running SFC indicates 0 issues with my windows files. I also don't have this issue with the other 700 gigs of my GOG library or my nearly 2tb of steam games. It's just this game.

Any ideas about how I can fix this?

Have you tried changing the Graphics API to DX11 in video settings? Or played around with Borderless/Fullscreen modes?

I assume all your motherboard and GPU drivers are up to date.
