Hello,

This game doesnt work for me.

It only gets to what I think is a loading screen where it flashes red writing 'Serial Cleaner' then nothing happens and I have to alt tab and close it.

Anyone know how to fix this or should I just refund it?

SOLVED
Yes it is solved.

However now it crashes when I quit
Did you have to do anything to solve this? I am still getting the same issue. My version is 1.0.1.0

EDIT: Game uses real world data. If you are using Pi-Hole it blocks freegeoip.net which will cause the infinite logo. You can whitelist this domain, disable real world data in settings and blacklist the domain again. Should work. Sorry but I don't understand what is real world settings. Could you please explain what we have to do ? Thanks
GOG has a fix for this at:
support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004196185-Serial-Cleaner
It is a pre-made config with "real world data" unticked in the options.
Thx to GOG!

Any chance Mac users can get something similar?
I am on Linux and experiencing the same issue. Using version 2.0.0.1 downloaded from GOG. I have tried it on two systems so far with the same result of being stuck at the serial cleaner screen. My systems:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X | 16GB DDR4-3000 CL15 | MSI RX 580 8GB Gaming X | Mesa 18.3.1 | Manjaro | Kernel 4.20.1-1-MANJARO

AMD X3 710 | 6GB DDR3-1333 | MSI Radeon HD5450 1GB | Mesa 18.0.5 | Linux Mint 19.1 | Kernel 4.15.0-43.generic

Start with unplugged Network. Wait for the timeout. And then set the option the normal way in the options screen.

Nice, this worked for me.
Not sure if this is the same as the OP issue, but when I launch the game I get a series of colours displayed, then a brief flash of the title then stuck on a white screen.

Seems to be a common issue and after some digging came across a steam discussion from the developer. I can't seem to add links right now, so just PM me and I'll forward it on.

Overall this worked for me, the original colours still cycle through but once the title is displayed I get a 600 x 480 res menu.

Oddly enough, changing to 1920 x 1080 also changes the language to Espanol - so I had to adjust back to 1680 x 1050 and 'Ingles' (which is Spanish for English)...

Hope this works for others.
