Here are some of tested and suggested mods for Sensible Soccer 2006. If you have more that you'd like to share here is the exact place. Note. It is better to test each mod with gog installer first before you add new one to this topic.
1. Mega patch 2
Contains all the best mods, squad updates, difficulty level, many cameras. All that you need for SS2006.

2. EreWEGo and Muzzers' AI Mod
Improves AI, changes gameplay, shooting mechanism etc.

The last MegaPatch for Sensible Soccer 2006, (MegaPatch 4), I worked on:

A quick look at the mod:

Improved computer AI and lots of gameplay tweaks
Two difficulty levels, "medium" and "hard"

Three different team sets:
Updated 09-10 (the newest teams from the current season!)
Original 2006 (the original season 2006 data with correct names)
Classic Teams (lots of classic teams from different eras)

A selection of the most popular Camera mods
Sound Mod and Sound Mod Add-on for better in-game atmosphere
Updated "toon off" mod that makes the player shadows more realistic.
New Ad-boards
All pitches and balls in the game are unlocked and ready to use!
New pitches - replaces the hideous default pitches with new ones
New balls - classics & updated mods contain new balls

The Sensi Starter utility for selecting which mods you want to run

So I'm really curious, is the game actually decent fun with these mods? I stayed away from it for the longest time because of its notorious sloppy coding.

Hi Guys

How do I get the mega patch working, I installed the GOG Sensi install directory and when I run the SensiStarter exe and then the run Sensi 96 button I get an 'error code 53 cannot find file' :(

What file is the SensiStarter looking for?

Yeah, please help!

I have tried it 5 times now, de- and reinstalling game and patch with compatibilty and admin rights during, after and while running. Just like told on the linked page.

And all i´m getting is "Run-time error ´5´: Invalid prodedure call or argument".

Have you tried WinXP (SP2 & 3) compatibility mode plus administrator mode for SensiStarter.exe? It might also help if you put the MegaPatch installer into compatibility mode plus administrator mode before installing. I installed it on Win7 and 8 without any problems. It works happily.

Reinstalled again under Win 8.1 64bit - installs and works like a charm - even without any compatibility settings - check if you really have DirectX9 installed correctly (try the MS's Webinstaller - that really installs everything - other, in particular older versions do not (!!!)) - otherwise install Sensi 2006 plus Megapatch on another computer and quite simply copy it to your computer and see if it works now - otherwise see if your graphics and sound drivers are reasonably up-to-date. For instance, I am running it with an Nvidia GTX570 and the PCI Express version of the SoundBlaster X-Fi.

Of course i ran it in these modes.
I realized lately that i can set up my game in the SensiStarter and exit the prog, then running the game via it´s exe and the setup is there.
