My problem is similar to the problem that Weclock had here

I double click on the icon and the loading icon shows up beside my pointer and nothing happens. I've tried the various compatibility options with no success. Turning on the option within them to run the program in 256 colors or 640x480 causes the screen to flash black for a split second when ever I try to launch the game.
I've also tried reinstalling the game from a fresh download and updating my video card drivers
Help would be much appreciated!
System Specs:
Windows XP SP2 32-bit
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
AMD Opteron 175 @ 2.53 GHz
2GB OCZ Platinum PC-3200 RAM
Asus GeForce 8800GTS 640MB with the 186.18 drivers
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card with the 41.93 drivers
