I started playing two days ago and didng get any achievements on GoG Galaxy not even the one for killing first enemy :/
any one had this problem before ?

It should be fixed on GOG's servers already. Log-out from GOG Galaxy, restart GOG Galaxy and then log-in again. Works?

I know it's been a while but any idea which version you reverted to?

I just rolled back to 1.07.08, the last version whose changelog mentioned any fixes relevant to singleplayer. I replayed the tutorial but didn't get the achievement for the first kill. Not sure if achievements have just stopped working for this game altogether, if I haven't gone back far enough or if maybe there's something stored locally that tells the game not to register this particular achievement anymore since the conditions for it had already been fulfilled before.

Dang, that version doesn't even show up for me in Galaxy anymore. Well, I guess that's it, will just have to accept that I'll never get any achievements in this game's GOG version. Anyway, thanks.

In another thread here, gognobby mentioned some typos in a file of the game related to the achievements, maybe you can take a look at it. I've found it but I have no idea if it's something fixable manually.

Yes, I see these in the output_log.txt file:

GOG: UnlockAchievemnet ENTER_INDUSTRIAL

(Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/generated/common/runtime/UnityEngineDebugBindings.gen.cpp Line: 37)

GOG: store stat ACHIEVEMENTS value 7

(Filename: C:/buildslave/unity/build/artifacts/generated/common/runtime/UnityEngineDebugBindings.gen.cpp Line: 37)

But they don't show up in GOG Galaxy. The game overlay is still working.

PS. maybe that's the message it's sending to Galaxy and it's not working because there's a typo there: "UnlockAchievemnet" =)

I just submitted a ticket to GOG support and posted on the Satellite Reign forums.

But you know, considering that there have been updates to the GOG version since the achievements were broken, odds are that the developers just didn't know about the problem, otherwise they probably would have fixed it a long time ago. I hope they'll find the time to fix it since, presumably, they haven't touched Satellite Reign in quite a while and are busy with their next game.

The problem is that even on Steam there are achievements bugged, so the people created a mod to make them work, this is an example: https://steamcommunity.com/app/268870/discussions/0/1519260397784782253/
It's sad that the developers have ignored all this for years without worrying about it at all.

Dang, that's bad. Well, it certainly makes the chances that they'll ever patch it slim.

The good news is that if that guy managed to fix Steam achievements there might be a chance to fix the GOG ones as well somehow. Will have to check that shit out.

I received this response from GOG support:


"Hello,

Than you for report, our Galaxy QA confirmed issue with achievements.
It will be fixed as soon as possible, however I cannot promise you when exactly.

The curious thing is that the message makes it sound like GOG will fix it on their end while everything suggested that the error was committed on the developers' side.

The sad part is that the Steam version is currently available for free on Humble Bundle, so I will probably move on to that one until the Galaxy achievements are fixed.
