Just wondering if someone can check it if comes with the executables to play this on a DOS PC?
Ok I bought it and it doesn't have the DOS executables. ScummVM only.

Yeah, that's kind of strange considering that Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis came with the DOS executable and files. Hopefully they'll add them in a future update.

If somebody needs them, I could upload the DOS exe from German CD version. The question is, does the sound file (MONSTER.SOU) come uncompressed? If it is recompressed with FLAC or other codec, the DOS exe will not be of any help.
I think GOG should provide the original files for this kind of games. There's no reason to not add them.

I really hope in the future these files are made available for any game from this period - especially when it comes to the far future (or even in the present) it's extremely nice to have the ability to use the original files provided here to play on the original systems or to be able to add compatibility for future/current operating systems that might not be supported here. That being said, all of the files should be uncompressed in their original formats - no need to compress audio archives when the uncompressed file is so small compared to any modern game.

There is a MONSTER.SOU and it is 174 MB.

It's not a problem getting the game / files. Plenty of abandonware sites. But it's annoying that you get a lesser product when you actually hand over money.

I agree regarding compressing and I have no idea why they compressed the SOU file in Fate of Atlantis, it makes no sense to me in times when downloadable games are approaching 50 GB.

The games are completly available through other means. The whole point is to have a way to pay to get the whole content and be able to do what you want with it, even running it on an old system.
The way they are dealing it now make it seems they are doing things without thinking and without having some common rule. Otherwise we would see the same rule applied to every game.
I second this notion. As a fan of old computers myself, I would love a way to play this game on older systems. My 486 is so lonely :(
