Just installed Saints Row and I`m getting this very weird message:

`Steam_API.dll is missing from your computer...`

And the game refuses to start. I don`t understand. I bought and downloaded this from GOG, so why would it need steam?
Please help.
Ok, panic over.

Solution, in case anyone else gets the same issue:

I disabled my virus checker and reinstalled over the old game. That fixed it. Looks like the damn virus checker did not allow some of the game to install, causing the problem.
Yeah; I had something similiar with Metro Last Light a few weeks ago. My antiv-virus program also detected "a virus" and deleted the dll file automatically.

Then I've searched around the web, but the file seems to be safe. Our anti-virus progs are just a bit too overprotective ;)
