So me and a buddy recently purchased the GotC edition and have been having some fun with the co-op, after managing to solve the crashing issues by using the exact same in-game settings, (High preset, Vsync On and capping fps to 60 via Nvidia Control panel,) we now have the disconnecting problem.

We've both tried hosting the game, but whoever connects to the host gets disconnected at various times, like when fighting a Warden or playing the Fraud quest. Has anyone here come up with a solution to this? I've Googled the crap out it and the only potential solution I've seen was reverting back to an earlier .exe version before the Workshop was added, but I don't think that's possible with the GoG, only with the Steam version.

Any and all help and advice would be appreciated.

I really can't help you since I don't own the game but according to
https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Saints_Row_IV

the steam version also has disconnections but to fix it you have to disable steam overlay... Maybe both of you can also disable the gog galaxy overlay and check if it works
