Saints Row games look like a blast. I would love to run Saints Row games on Mac with Wineskin Winery. Does anyone out there know how to accomplish this, or if can even be done? Would using a Crossover engine (CX) on Winery work? What "wine tricks" would we need, or would any particular software be needed (like dotNet40 or similar)?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

In terms of compatibility, Saints Row: The Third has garbage ratings across the board. The same applies to Saints Row 2. None of these apply to the latest development versions so it is possible that it works better with a build from this year, but it is probably not worth it.

Disclaimer: I haven't tested it myself and I don't have Saints Row 2 (yet) so I can't test that.

I tried to port Saints Row The Third yesterday, and worked right out of the box...

Used wine 2.6.0, engine 1.7.44 on a mid 2011 iMac ,16gb Memory, Yosemite

Believe me when i tell you, it works great!
Saints row 3, seems to work without problems on wine:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Kaveri [Radeon R7 Graphics]
Wine 1.7.29 (32bit) (windows XP mode)

Is it possible for you to upload your Wineskin? Sorry to bring this thread back online after almost a year.
