Ok, so Sacred 2 on GoG comes with both expansions loaded, and tries to start me with an Uber character and assumes that I already have a clue as to how to play the game. I don't. I figured out how to run back and forth. How do I start a Newbie character, and do the start quests and intro and etc.???

When you click on 'Single Player' in the main menu, it should allow you to create a new character.

Yeah, the quided help thing never started with the first character, i deleted it and started a second one and it worked.

I would still rather play the root game without the expansions first.

I don't remember exactly how all the expansion content was implemented, but I think it just basically adds more content rather than "overriding" things. Like it adds new places with quests, adds new monsters and a new player class.

There probably isn't really a point to playing it without that extra content.

It looks like the places it adds are the Cursed Forest and the Crystal Region, guess you could just ignore those areas if you really wanted.

I don't know what GOG's problem suddenly is with adding a URL...... and I'm not going to fight this stupid thing just to paste a simple URL.

From what I've read I think Grogger is right: the expansion Ice&Blood doesn't override anything, it adds two new areas that you could enter at level 5 already. So without entering the two news areas it's pretty much the base game.

What's this about an uber character?

Sacred 2 Gold is a vast improvement of the base game Sacred 2 Fallen Angel. There are truly more quests and additional content. There is also a Community Patch that fixes some bugs, especially the random crashing due to excessive memory storing.
