Hi Guys, i have a problem, in close view game works fine like in 30 fps. But when i scroll up camera for bigger view, game suddenly drop fps to like 10 or lower. That`s for me big problem to play comfortably. I searched and try many solutions but nothing helps.

My laptop is: Windows 10 64x, Core i5 2.60Ghz, intel HD 4000, 8 gb ram.

Sry for my english, but i hope you understand what i want to say. And i will be very greatfull for solution. I ask this question to people who have same spec like me and can play sacred.

This is how this game works - it's very poorly optimised. It stutters in full view, even with good hardware, not to mention this:

:)
Don't get me wrong, my laptop has HD4600, which is significantly more powerful, and the game is virtually unplayable, too. And HD4600 can handle games like Bioshock, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Far Cry 2 on full details smoothly (well, mostly :) ).

If the game runs smoothly when zoomed in but lags when you zoom out, it's a simple fix of using dgvoodoo2 since the DirectX the game uses doesn't run well in modern systems.

DgVoodoo2 is a 3D wrapper for old games that takes whatever graphics interpretation the game has (DirectX 1-9, OpenGL, nGlide) and converts it to DirectX 11 for newer cards and OSes.

By using the dgvoodoo2 wrapper any and all lag of zooming out disappears without touching any in-game settings at all. Whatever warnings appear when you go download it are false positives. I use it in Sacred, The Guild gold edition, Wizardry 8 and any old 3D game that stutters and lags and I solved any lag that appeared since then.

Open the games settings.cfg file with an notepad editor and enter this line into it:
WAITRETRACE : 0
then save it!
