Hi,

I'm trying to complete the Trickster's Chamber level and am unable as there are bars that prevent you from getting into Loki's chamber from the are in which the zombies jump into an acid pool and turn into Sarks. Apparently, the zombies are supposed to appear through portals on the floor in this chamber, but the portals are not there and instead the zombies come through entryways high up on the walls of this chamber. Purportedly you can restart the level and it may fix the issue, but I've had no such luck. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no success. Even if you restart the level, and only go down the initial stairway in the level a few steps you can then jump up on a viewing window and look down through the grates and see the area where you should be able to enter Loki's chamber, which even at this starting point of the level you can see those bars are already blocking entry.

I'm wondering if this is a bug in the GoG version of Rune - Classic, or if anyone else has experienced the same issue. It's quite discouraging to get this far into the game and not be able to complete it because of a problem like this.

Thanks
If it's the room I think of, then the answer is very non-obvious: You're supposed to jump into the pool in the room with Loki yourself and get transformed.

That's the room I want to get to, but unfortunately cannot. The problem is that you can't even get into the room Loki is in as the entryway is all barred up.

Unfortunately Rune does not allow the player to restart a map, But you can use the console to force the game loading any map you want

Included the one you are already in

I am pasting here how to activate the console for the game, plus the level loading command, didn't make those, merely found them around

As an extra note, i can say that one of the final level for the game seems to be bugged in Rune classic, and when a certain empowered unded try to bring down a wall with a giant mace, the game freeze and without the console i was unable to proceed

Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "user.ini" file in the game folder.

Search for the "G=" and "T=" entries and change them to "G=God" and "T=CheatPlease".

Begin a game, press T to enable cheat mode, then if you want press G to enable God mode. Note: The keys
must be pressed again after each new level is started. It's possible to bind any key to any command, G for God Mode is just an example

All Possible Commands:

Invisible to enemies - invisible /// Doesn't seems to work
Kill all enemies - killpawns

Hopefully this will help, you should be able to restart the map, or load it blank and the give yourself the missing weapons
Thanks to OP & replies, probably never have finished the game w/o this thread. Love the game & thanks to GoG for getting it up here as well!

Played Rune just after release but I don't think this was the scenario I faced back then. I certainly don't remember any portals you could destroy as in above long post, & I didn't get any this time either. What I did get when crossing into the room was an elite like the one you get before the door is opened plus several zombie types that already turned or were in the process - I don't remember this from original.

So no beheading could commence 'til they were dispatched which pretty much requires some rune power or leaving the room. I'm wondering if this is what was intended? My next map after the 'turning' is pretty badly bugged - reloading a save thru that whole map results in a return to the health bar & rune power status of the very beginning of that map. Had to run the whole map w/o saving if I wanted to keep the runes & health I picked up along the way, which took me a bit. lol

Which, of course, also makes me suspect that something's wrong with the Trickster's Chamber map as well.
This question has'nt been answeared properly yet, so I'll go ahead and revive this issue for others to see.

This is intended. In the area you're describing, Zombies will continually jump into sludge and turn into unarmed Sarks. There are atleast a couple armed ones in the room aswell. This large horde keeps growing, and what you have to do is to kill a whole bunch of them. For each Sark you kill, a column is retracted. Eventually you have killed enough to enter Loki's main chamber, and the collumns will close behind you and you're through.

I had this too. As stated by another reply, you have to kill enough undead in order to remove the bars. My tactic was to draw them out of the room and take them to a corridor to kill them. Problem is that the game stops generating them if you do this before you have enough killed to remove those bars. It;s a tough gig but you have to kill them IN the room where they are generated (fortunately, the berserk meter helps out a lot here).
Oh, wow, I gave up on this almost 7 years ago, and didn't play the game anymore. Now that I see this thread have revived in the past couple of years, I think I'll give the game a go again and see if I can get past the problem I ran into previously. Thanks for the follow-ups over the past couple of years.

This was my problem also, as you said I needed to stay in the room long enough for it to generate enough undead for me to eliminate, which is not easy at all, but finally persevered and the bars finally vanished. Only wish I knew why that would cause it to have stopped generating undead if you left the room too early, but got past it around 7 years later with a new run through, which I've thoroughly enjoyed.
