I can't beat the final boss (Episode 4, Area 10, El Oscuro).
Yes, I know that he can be hurt only when over a fire pit (when he's red). I spent almost all the ammunition available in the room (there's a lot of it), all of the asbestos armor, most of the shots hitting the boss over fire pits, and he was still alive.
Then, at the next attempt I managed to bring 6 excalibats from the secret area, spent all their ammunition, then spent all the firebombs, systematically hitting the boss only when he's over a firepit; with the last firebomb shot obtained one more excalibat, and still was unable to kill him after spending all its shots (by that time I've spent all the health available in the room).
In the YouTube playthrough videos by Psychedelic Eyeball and Pribalway they kill this boss on Crezzy Man difficulty with, respectively, 6 and 3 charges of just one excalibat. OK, probably I'm not as agile to deal the same amount of damage with each shot, but surely, on "just" the hard difficulty, 7 X 10 = 70 charges plus the firebomb charges should be enough??
One sign that something may be amiss is that the boss is kind of a snake which loses its segments while losing health. Well, I manage to "kill" all its segments except for the last one fairly quickly, I think, already with the first excalibat. And then I spend all the zillion of ammunition on the last segment, the head, and it's still not enough.
Am I missing something? Is the boss regaining health in some way? E.g. perhaps it is regaining full health each time it freezes due to not seeing me? Or perhaps it regains health when hitting me? Is there some cheat that would let me see the hit points of the boss, so I could check what's happening?
I would appreciate any help; it was not a bad game, I would be happy not to leave it in a frustration right before the finish line...
