Last time I left the game I saved my game scores. Now I have not option to load this game because I can not see any menu to do that. The only option I've got is to do a tutorial ore make a new world. It seems to me that the game has reverted to its initial state or do I missed an option?

Hi. I've never played. I'm just looking around for issues while I consider buying.

I looked around for what may cause this issue and most people with a similar issue say it's something to do with cloud saves. Except people mention Steam for that, not GOG: https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?topic=49403.0

Other games I've played have this happen after an update. The save files still exist, but they'll only load if the game allows loading outdated saves. Yet you don't even have a load option. If the game was updated before this happened, I'd try selecting the previous version with whatever "manage installation" option is available.

Thanks for your support. Since this was the first time I've played Rimworld and the first time my saves where gone, I was a bit confused. I searched my save files, found the save folder but unfortunately it was empty. Because I do not use Steam I doubt that the game uses cloud saves. But anyway, I've tested the save button again and until now my saves are still there and can be loaded.
There is another thing that confuses me about Rimworld, but not about the gameplay, more about the forum. To register at https://ludeon.com/forums/index.php?action=register they ask for:

Seems I don't get it what they want me do enter. I've tried several options but none of them worked:
