It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

None of these work, i changed the .exe file to run as admin but it only started from galaxy. Still the direct-x error is present with or without software rendering. I have installed the direct-x as suggested and upgraded/downgraded my nvidia drivers. Nothing works. :( Im almost positive that the short while i had win 10 it damaged my computer somehow or atleast my operating system... thinking of re-installing everything.

What I have found about your error it's always or the corrupted nvidia drivers or directx... so if you have similar problems also with other games, then it can be a (painful) solution...
Otherwise I suggest to properly uninstall nvidia drivers and install the latest again first (I'm using geforce experience), then properly uninstall Revenant (and delete folder with leftovers) and install it again...
Still nothing.
Reinstalling DX, nvidia and asus drivers. The safe mode install was the worse.
I'm getting a bit angered at this game.
Something should fall into abandonware or be redevelopped.

Really sorry I couldn't help :(
I am also unable to run it from GOG Galaxy. Clicking the button makes it animate the button being clicked, but nothing else happens. I'm able to run it fine from the desktop shortcut, however.

It's a Galaxy bug. To quote myself from earlier - this is because Galaxy doesn't run the game as admin for some reason. It's a known issue.
Sounds like a Windows bug then. I am logged into the administrator account yet even I don't have all admin privileges. There are a lot of programs which I have to edit to give me the proper running privileges and sometimes it locks me out even after I edit the specific privileges. This is a windows 7 specific issue that is strongly hardwired in, never happened in any previous versions of Windows (except maybe Vista), but it happens as a norm on 7 on any machine.

it's not a Galaxy bug - just Revenant.exe is not set to run as administrator after download...

The way it's set up to download from Galaxy is a bit different than the browser installer. Anyway, you're right, I poked the techs already if they could change it to run as admin, they'll get to it hopefully.
I treid to start game in windows 7 so far no luck. there seems to be some kind of color problems. To bad there is no patch to workaround this buggy software problem. This is the only game I gort from GOG that dosnt work at all.

Try running the game by setting Force Software Rendering or putting your desktop into 16-bit color mode.
Windows 10 game will not launch. Shows up in Task Manager then poof...gone. reboot.log updates and shows COMMAND LINE: DEVICE=DISPLAY BLUE PRELOADSIZE=3 CHUNKCACHESIZE=16 GAMESPEED=3

Tried everything from Compatibilities: xp sp3, 98, 95, run as admin, Reduced color mode, Disable display scaling on and off...reinstalled directx items, removed and reinstalled directplay both automatically and manually...nope, immediate crash on launch.

Any more suggestions?
