I'm happy to see that Revenant has finally been released on GOG.com but from what I've heard, the original version was left incomplete when it first came out. For example, there were many things left unpolished like Locke being able to be proficient in many weapon types but only really fighting with a sword, certain features left out such as certain characters being able to join your party and never actually do.

Are these things still present in the GOG release or are they been fixed?
Though I haven't got GOG release but the original one I believe those were left intact as GOG would have to expand on the game, not only make it playable on modern systems.

In fact when you play the game somewhere after 2/3 (about, I finished it ages ago) it really feels a bit empty and unfinished, so the game starts feeling repetitive.

As for companions - I think it was left for multiplayer, where there are 4 characters (including Locke) to play.

GOG only do what they can to get the original game running on modern machines, they don't expand the game like I think you're suggesting.

That all depends on the game too though.

I wasn't sure if there were fan mods out for it that might have fleshed out the game more (like they did with KOTOR 2, for example) and made it more complete since I hadn't played the game since it was new.

Although Revenant has a loving community it is way to unknown compared to KotOR.

It is really a shame but what the heck, still loving this game after all.
