Program starts, plays a couple notes, then leaves black screen.

Note that I do see "The Adventure Company" logo. It's after that
it starts to play a song, then crashes silently. Only way to get back to
my desktop is to nuke the process in Task Manager.

The error log mentions AUDIODG.exe & UDAAP064.dll.

I'm running XP with SP3 and it crashes every time when launching. I've tried uninstalling Nvidia's PhysX, running in windowed mode, changing screen resolution to lowest possible before launching and none have helped. I've read on the Steam support pages that setting the main two game executable files to XP compatibility working for Win7 users, but I'm running XP, so... Has there been any resolution to this problem?

Thanks
