frlannao: No. I mean the panel on the right close to the door. I opened it and now I have to put the wires around the pins. And I do not know, how I to do that correctly.

davelgil: My advice is to ignore the wire puzzle. It is literally the most difficult puzzle in the game, and it's totally optional. I can't even figure it out myself. :)
Wow - guess i have to replay the Preview. Didn't even notice there was another solution to the hacking. Awesome. Really can't wait much longer for the full game release :)

(Sorry for the possible mistakes but English is not my 1st language)
I just figured out that wire puzzle. Now THAT was a brain-bender, I had to write down the solution. Uhh... that IS the solution, right? It's not going to randomize every time I play the game, is it?

Edit: Just finished up the demo. Gotta admit, I'm feeling some immense satisfaction for figuring out some of these puzzles.

Mejis: What?? No, it's the BEST puzzle I've played in a game in a long time. I just had to get pen and paper out to solve the wires. Totally amazing! Please, MORE! :D
Seriously Dave, seriously.

PS I had no idea the wires were optional, I thought that was my only way through the door.

VinceTwelve: Game designer here!

Thanks Mejis! My favorite game in the whole world is Riven, so I've snuck in some really hard mechanical puzzles like this wire puzzle! I knew there would be some people out there who would love them!

But I also knew some people would not love them, so it is definitely optional. All but one of the really hard Riven-esque puzzles in the game is optional. I'm sure you'll be one of the players who will want to tackle them all! :)
Thanks for taking the time to reply, Vince.
That makes me very excited to know there are some tricky mechanical puzzles in there. Mechanical puzzles are the best!
Hi, this game is a amazing. I play adventure games mostly for their atmosphere and story, I'm not really into puzzles and stuff. I take the saxophone music stuff more than wire puzzles any day :D

And now I'm stuck at the beginning of the police part. I don't know what to do, if I follow the guy he just shoots me, and at the back alley there's no way to go. What to do now?
Hey marheikk,

see that car ?...Mirror, Mirror...

Well, look about the street and see what catches your eye. Remember what he said at the start: he has to look inconspicuous, and he'll need eyes in the back of his head. Figure out how to do both of these things, and you'll know what your perp is up to.

So, err, how do I skip it?

It's not that hard to figure out the wire puzzle, once you know what you're supposed to do. Just get out a piece of paper, draw up a diagram, and take notes of how much electricity is lost to each pin, and how much makes it to the other end. From there, it's simple to figure out.

There are two ways into the hallway beyond that door. One is by hot-wiring the door (hard puzzle may not be to everyone's tastes), and the other is through the lab's main entrance. You'll just have to do something about that big slab of rock...

Let me know if you need another hint!

Focus on the boulder blocking the front door. It's too heavy for one person to move, but for two...?

You skipped the hardest part. Before doing these admittedly very simple calculations, a player needs to:
1. understand that "electricity" is lost to pins (not to a length of wire between pins).
2. understand that you can connect pins to each other as you like and the lines are only there because Vince Twelve is evil (j/k).
Thanks for the help davelgil, vincetwelve and gibbeynator (edit: and starmaker!). I feel a bit stupid now, because I cleared the main entrance long ago and just forgot about that bit because I couldn't go in at the time. I'll probably give the wires another whirl tonight, though, just to see if I can do it (probably can't, I'm not a Myst kind of gamer... :) ).

Wow, that's very nice non-linear design. Thx for hint, btw
