heycuzwhatup: BASED Nechigawara, IT WORKED. I tried it with the just the rebirth and capcom patch.
So for other people with this issue, just follow the instruction in this rebirth page https://classicrebirth.com/index.php/re1cr-troubleshooting/ I did change one of the setting where I pick the default video " dgvoodoo virtual 3d acceleared card".

HOWEVER, I still cant run RE2. I have feeling I might had mess up the process, but I wont be able to know until Saturday. I have to be away from my laptop for the next day or two.

I'll post back if it really work on RE2 or not.

Nechigawara: RE2 need to rename the dll to re2_DDraw not re_ddraw. Have you try this?

Well, RE2 now works with all the mods installed perfectly.
However, I had an issue installing the hd mods for RE1 which CTD. I was able to fix it by removing "dinput8.dll" from the teamx HD mod.

The only minor issue I have right now with RE1 are the characters models. Certain parts of them just darken or brighten depending on their angle rotation. For example Chris's head and legs darken or brighten differently from one another. Pretty sure it is because of the "dinput8.dll" removal.

But I am able play just fine. Appreciate the help.

dgvoodoo2 is not that good wrapper and can hit a performance if not setting correctly.
Try this:
- Open dgvoodoo.conf with notepad
- Find the line [DirectX]
- Edit VRAM option under that line to 4GB.
If your GPU is capable even with dgvoodoo2, it should work. This is the only downside of using Rebirth since RE1 & 2 use Older Version of Direct3D.

Also, if possible, try dgvoodoo2 version 2.64 instead.

I tried the notepad way, and it did not work. I even tried via the dgvoodoo2 exe to make the edit.

BUUUUTT, dling the 2.64 version of dgvoodoo2 fixed the lighitng on the characters models.

re3 PSA:

You don't need the conversion patch in the OP. Simply download in Japanese and use the Sourcenext 1.10 patched .exe's on the Rebirth site and it works as normal. This is from the man Mr Gemini himself.

Like with re2, the conversion patch contains some files you will likely over-write later, anyway.

So, just download in Japanese, then the rest is as usual.

(Don't know if they work on GOG's version, but its github states that it works with the MediaKite and SourceNext versions of the game. Because there are conversion patches in the OP, maybe they do work.)

EDIT:
I just tried it and it doesn't work with the High Quality movies pack from the resources page.

These cutscenes work fine and run at 30 instead of 10 fps.

- Fix PC backgrounds: Replaces the blurry backgrounds. It's for ClassicRebirth, but also works when unpacking into the bss directory.

There is a small drawback, because the rofs have to be extracted, which can cause the game to crash if you use the wrong extractor. Most common tools do not extract the rofs11.dat file correctly. Only rerofs has no problems. I don't have a download link because Reza shared it on Discord.

Does anyone have or is willing to make a mirror for the HQ sound mod for RE3? Mega sucks, it limits your download to 1.5 gb. And paying for about 200 mb doesn't feel right. I just want the OG high quality audio, the arranged is not needed. Thanks.

I have not bought it yet, but will add it later to the list close to the Biorand mod, as this seems to be an extra - but not mandatory - graphics mod. Though because the process seems to not be as simple as installing the other mods (as mostly they all are drag & drop) may you share simple tutorial for future reference?

Im not the mod owner, but although I agree with you, Mega seems to be the most reliable free hosting site for now together with DropBox and MediaFire so I can understand why the mod creators decided to post them there.

Maybe they've seem this thread already and can do what you requested?

Is there a way to fix and un-censor the rest of the violence during gameplay for all language versions?


1. Uncensored: The zombie's head flies and rolls off after being kicked by Jill.

2. Uncensored: The zombie's head no longer stays attached after being stomped on by male characters.

3. Uncensored: Zombie's head falls off after being decapitated by the Hunter in the hospital.

4. Uncensored: Your character's head gets cut off completely after being decapitated by the hunter.
