ClayKinder: You may want to mention that for RE1 Classic REbirth to work, you need to install the Japanese version of the game from GOG.

Berzerk2k2: No you don't.

when you use this patch I assume you have to put the files from the JPN folder into the USA folder in the seamless hd mod or does the mod call the files from the jpn folder?

No idea. I don't use Seamless HD because I think it looks ugly.
Just wondering if you can use BioRand with Seamless HD? I've downloaded them and installed them one at a time as per the instructions, after generating a seed I get an error about unable to use the DC camera angles and must rename the folder. I didn't really care about the DC camera so I renamed the folder. When launching it asked me to select a mod and obviously I can only select the BioRand seed or the Seamless HD mod. Is there a way to use both together?
I'm having issues getting RE2 to run with the source next conversion. Followed the steps, and when it launches it's asking me to insert a game disc because it can't load all the files. Not exactly sure what I did wrong, so is there a step by step somewhere I'm missing?

Thanks!

Good evening!
Got them working finally after 10+ tries.
Resident Evil 2 loads just fine but Resident Evil and Resident Evil 3 load just fine but I can’t press the start button on the game screen.
Going to try deleting the config.ini to see if that fixes it.

Deleted the config.ini and Resident Evil and Resident Evil 3 load great.
I'm having trouble with fixing the save folder for Resident Evil 3.
The game won't recognize the save files that already existed.
Managed to fix Resident Evil 2 save thing.
Tried to fix Resident Evil 3 save files but it didn't work. They don't show up when the game is booted up.
Thank you for all the info!

RE1 crash everytime i try to open it from GOG. works fine from folders tho. is there a way to fix it?
re3 ps4 controller not working 'after' the mods. its showing the controller in the config but no inputs ingame. raw input mode crashing the game. re1 and 2 worked fine with and without the mods on ps4 controller, wireless rumble didnt work on any though. only keyboard working on re3 modded.
*i got it working u need to turn the controller off and on after starting the game(hold ps button 10s) if u want to play with the mods using the 2nd controller input option. i think its the environmental textures since it works fine with the retro mode on. rumble still doesnt work for all 3 games normal or modded.

For anyone who doesnt want to go through this whole song and dance to install Seamless HD mod, someone already compiled everything you need to install it on GOG version of the game. All you have to do is literally copy/paste the contents of the zip file into the game's directory, and it works without any issues. I don't believe it includes HQ Audio pack, but you can install that separately if you wish.

Pretty sure those are borderline piracy: these "patches" pretty much redistribute the vast majority of the games' content, and embed other people's work without even asking, putting them too in legal danger.

These are not just patches, these are full mods that feature completely new 2D elements for each game. The necessary mods to run this are included for convenience sake because it's too much of a hassle to install everything manually. It's just too much for the average user, as seen in this forum. Every included mod is credited and linked to.

In regards to included files owned by Capcom: Many many mods include files which belong to the original publisher - even the RE4 HD Project. You still need a full copy of each game to run the mods and every user that has asked for the full the games, is being redirected to GOG. In the end GOG and Capcom are profiting
from these mods that continue to improve upon their creations.

Except most of those mods are distributed the way they are to avoid stepping on someone else's feet, with full disclaimers on redistribution and licenses. Not cool to just repack mods, call them something else, and pretend it's fine because it's practical, especially when the first post in this discussion pretty much gives instructions, same for the actual websites hosting those mods. And just to be 100% clear, the RE2 mod has quite a few unnecessary game assets, it's not just HD stuff.

For the SHDP users out there, is there any way to skip having to select it at this screen every time I launch the game?
