Hello everyone! I’m starting this topic to share an issue my friends and I encountered while playing Resident Evil 3. There’s a glitch affecting the background images when the game runs at least once in the background. I’ve attached an image for reference.

How can I fix it?

Video Settings > Antialiasing > Disabled

Hello. In the retail PC version, there was an option in the in game menu (you bring it up by pressing F1) and on the others menu, there was a setting option called "texture correction". When you disabled that, the lines on the backgrounds completely disappeared. For some reason the GOG team took out this option from the in game settings. I had the same issue when I started playing the game in stretched mode, and when I tried it out in aspect ratio correction, the lines disappeared. Later I brought up the in game settings to fiddle with the resolution, and when I was changing it the background lines appeared again sadly. I have no idea how to fix it properly since they took out the texture correction option. They really need to fix this. I have no clue what happened when they were testing this game for the re-release.

I had the same issue, but when I swapped from Full Screen to Windowed, it fixed. Also the game was crashing quite a bit on Full Screen but changing to Windowed fixed that too for me.

Unfortunately, windowed mode didn’t fix it for me, but I’m glad I didn’t experience any crashes.

Can't believe they shipped the game like that... well, there is a "definitive" fix for it. Download the game in Japanese and download Classic Rebirth for re3 + the SourceNext 1.10 .exe from the Classic Rebirth site, and it'll be perfect. You can then upgrade the terrible audio as well if you wanted to. The Classic Rebirth patch translates the game back to English, so don't worry about that. There are other language mods for it as well.

That works for those interested in the Classic Rebirth mods, but I’d rather play with the original assets. Aside from the background lines glitch, the game is functioning pretty well for me now.

It’s frustrating not to have the game running well right out of the box, but this is no way worse than the frame skipping that plagued the rerelease of RE1, which made it nearly unplayable for me. I hope they’re able to fix it permanently very soon.

So disabling antialiasing didn't work for you?

As you will, of course, but Rebirth by itself doesn't change any of the assets haha...
This also fixed my Modded GOG RE1, I was getting these Lines with the Seamless HD Mod..weird because GOG's RE2 and 3 Works just fine with the HD Mod and I wanted all the three to have the HD Textures so...very convenient!! Thank You!!
I only left FXAA turned on, on my NVIDIA Control Panel, it seems all the other options causes that Texture glitch.
