I thought for the longest time I was the only person who ever bought this most labelled it as a "christian" game
which it is not.

I never thought of this as a Christian game... I bought the CD years back and played it a bit but never got real far. Really liked the game though. Looking at the screenshots it's definitely aged graphically. I hope it's still fun. If I can find my disc I'll see if it still works. Will most likely get the gog.com version in the future.
The graphic might be a bit dated, but the gameplay remains cool. My fav. power is possess and bleeding.

Btw, anyone remember how you win against the final boss? I always needed the invulnerability code there.
This was by no means a " Christian" game. I played this loads when it came out. Great game, grim story, great gameplay...but...with a very similar story to the excellent STRIFE, also released by 3DO.

A truly forgotten gem of a game.
I still have my original disk. Likewise, I agree that anyone who assumes that this is a "christian" game is completely missing the point. Extreme artistic license aside, we have a dark, cyberpunk-gothic FPS shooter. If anything really detracts from this game, it is the fact that it has always been buggy, the code was hardly optimized and the enemies display all of the worst aspects of a hitscan FPS. Even back during the Win 98 days, I remember how cranky the game was to get running. When the game was in the mood to run properly, it was a rare and forgotten treat.

I bought Requiem from a Marketplace. The Package-Design is very cool. And i had the Bug in the Hotel.
Heh, just bought it. Totally forgot it has Lilith. That means it never could be a xian game, but a judaist (~ jewish) game!
But ye, no all hail this-or-that, just basically source of superpower.

I never heard of that. I bought it many years ago but in Germany it was mainly known as very brutal but not at all anyone ever thought about this is a christian game. I don't think so :) Then Painkiller must be too.

Yeah I also thought ths felt a lot like STRIFE thematically and story was.
I was never able to run the demo back in the day because it required an insanely specific DirectX version (6.1) and hardware. So I've been waiting...20 years to try it.
The original title was supposed to be Requiem: Wrath of the Fallen, then 3DO bought Cyclone Studios and changed the name of the game.
I still got the original disc with box from back in the days. Time I replayed it again can't remember much from it
