Hi,

For those of you lucky enough to already own this game - but who possibly shelved it because it got too annoying later...

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this already - or if I have already posted it here long ago (!) - but for me personally the biggest issue with this game was the fact that time went by way too fast in my view - and you couldn't give orders to the game while it was paused. It basically meant that the later levels became frantic, with much less strategy available since there's so much going on and so little time to do it.

Unfortunately, I don't think it's possible to enable a "give orders while paused" mode. Luckily, it's possible to edit how long a "time period" takes in real-time. By default this is only 4 minutes, and personally I set this to allow 10 minutes - but you can set it to anything you're comfortable with.

Just beware that this will only take effect once you start a new game!

----------------------
To adjust how long in real-time a day lasts:

File: gameglobals.xml
Component: TimeManager
Child: config
Change the parameter "MinutesPerDay" from the default ("12") to something else.

A value of 30 seems reasonable (should allow 10 minutes per segment instead of the default 4).

Change to something longer if you want time to leisurely look at everything.

--------------

NOTE: Doesn't slow down most actions - so still have to be quick if scheduling multiple actions at once.
This means that we have enough time to "adjust" one action (or maybe even several depending on how fast you are)
and then still have to time to leisurely check things out and/or assign new actions.

At the very least, this makes the game no longer feel so damn hectic and rushed, as you have lots of
time to schedule actions, move them around, cancel them, AND still check out the city you're in,
read the descriptions, AND talk to proles (which previously wasn't realistic to do,
not if you didn't want to screw up OR everything was already planned far in advance).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not set this too high, as time can only be advanced at the rate of 5x.
So if it's too high, you'll end up sitting around doing nothing waiting for the timer to tick down.
