I bought the game but cannot get it to come up. All I get is my acct.

How do you launch this game. From what window?

I bougt this fo so my Son would have a neat suprise when he gets home.

Your account? As in your GOG account? I have to admit I'm a little confused. Could you describe exactly what is going on? - i.e. what your computer/operating system is, where you've installed the game, etc ...

P.S. My Dad and I played Red Baron 1 together when I was a kid, Red Baron 3D + Red Baron 1 is a great gift :)

I have vista. I purchased the game and downloaded it. And I don't know what to do.

Ah I see did you use the GOG downloader or did you download using the browser? That will tell me where your download is. The trouble is you haven't actually installed the game yet, you've just downloaded the program to install it. You need to find the download which should be called "setup_red_baron_pack.exe" (you can also just search for that on your computer using search). You then need to double click that program. The GOG installer will launch and it will ask you to agree to the GOG EULA. After you do so it will install the games Red Baron 1 (the old DOS game from 1991) and Red Baron 3D (the newer Windows game from 1998) on your hard drive and create Desktop shortcuts for the games. After that it is simply a matter of double clicking these shortcuts and you'll run the respective games. Your account page on the website is just for downloading the game's installer and its extra goodies.

P.S. Once you get the game up and running myself and the other Red Baron/GOG denizens and I can also teach you or your son how to get better graphics in Red Baron 3D using glide wrappers, get multiplayer working, tweak the game, etc ...
