Hi, I really want to play that game, but i'm on win7.
Will it work??
Yup both Red Baron games (Red Baron 1 and Red Baron 3D which come as part of your purchase) work pretty much perfectly in Win7. There is a small problem about the colors in Red Baron 3D going psychedelic in Win7, but that is easily fixed:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/red_baron_pack/q_lots_of_questions_on_red_baron_redux_and_glide_wrappers/post2

or a more thorough, but slightly more complex solution in the next post down:

http://www.gog.com/en/forum/red_baron_pack/q_lots_of_questions_on_red_baron_redux_and_glide_wrappers/post3

The latter post especially also contains a lot of other great information for getting you started playing Red Baron 3D with really nice graphics and settings.

The older game, Red Baron 1, that comes with your purchase runs in DOSBox (which likewise comes with the game) and thus runs perfectly in Windows 7 right after install.

Correct me if I am wrong but, I believe you cannot play the earlier times like 1915 because CM11 doesn't work with Win7.

I haven't tried CM11, so I don't know if it works in Win7 or not, but regardless I was referring to the base game + basic tool set like glide wrappers ... for instance that ReLoad also works in Win7 is fantastic, but is a bonus in my view. The base game for Red Baron 3D works perfectly and you can get the graphics looking pretty much exactly like, if not better than when Voodoo cards were extant with just a wrapper. :) So I would say the game does indeed work perfectly, if not every user-made add-on or tool set does.
CM11 does not work with Win7, that is correct. But CM11 does work in a Virtual machine running Win98SE. However, to do so is a bit clunky. Either you need a RB3D install in the virtual machine, where you transfer your campaign file to in order to make changes, or you have RB3D installed on an external HD and switch the external HD to and from the Win7 and the Virtual Machine.

Or, you can hex edit the campaign file and change the date that way. You need a hex editor and this archived site to get started. rest is some thoughtful testing.
