Just read in another thread that CM11 isn't compatible with a 64 bit system. I'm basically admitting that I don't know what I've got but in the below stats, I see an Athlon 64x2 and a "system 32". Do I have a 64-bit machine? If so, is there a way to fool CM11? What I mean is, some old games are unstable because newer machines are so fast and one trick I've used to combat this is by instructing the machine to operate as a single core (I'll have to find the directions). Is there a way to emulate a 32 bit machine if you have a 64?
OS Name Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 Build 2600
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 75 Stepping 2 AuthenticAMD ~2004 Mhz

I really have no clue. No one seems to know and no one plans on fixing it :( I play on a Win7 64 bit computer and then transfer my campaign file over to my 32 bit xp machine to tweak.

This is really getting complicated. My old computer still works (11 years old - amazing!) and I believe I have an adapter so I can connect them in a LAN (going on memory here but I believe the old one use something like PC2 connectors) so I guess I can do the same. Grrrr.

Yes, for you have to have also an install of RB3D on the other computer to put the campaign file.
I have yet to use date based patches, so for me CM11 has only one real use for me, that is to change the date and hour of my campaign.
Tymorphil's Campaign Editor works in Win7 64bit. It is in French and does alot of the same or different things that CM11 does not do. However, Tymophil's Editor, which is in French, can not change the hour and is seriously flawed in changing the date ()Gives the wrong year.) But with it you can change the name of all your pilots and remove victories, and resurect your pilot without losing your mission (if you answered the phone and forgot to autopilot)
Better late than never, I guess...
First of all, CM11 is 16 bit program and requires VBRUN300.DLL to run (Visual Basic 3 runtime, should be available somewhere to download). It should (and presumably will) work under any 32 bit Windows, regardless of version (btw. system mentioned above is true 32 bit, so there will NO problem running CM11, I am running it on very similar system myself).

However, CM11 will never-ever work in true 64 bit Windows system, due to the lack of 16 bit support in every 64 bit version of Windows. In such case, the best single computer solution is to use some form of virtualization, either XP mode, in case you use Windows 7 Pro/Ult, or basically, any virtualisation technology will work, whether VirtualPC or VirtualBox (you will need separate licence of Windows to use it there, however). Or dual-boot, but it lacks certain elegance...
