These are just some questions I had on the outset that I managed to find answers for on the internet.

Q. Is there mod support in Rebel Galaxy?
A. There is no official mod support, or modding tools. However, the game developers have expressed no desire to suppress mods, only that they do not plan to officially support them. So, this will depend heavily on the enthusiasm and longevity of the game's popularity and the ingenuity of its fans.

Q. Does the game take place in a new open world each game (ie. randomly or procedurally generated each playthrough)?
A. There are 13 or 14 randomly generated star systems in each new game. (http://steamcommunity.com/app/290300/discussions/0/483367798521468808/#c483367798521576823)

Q. Is there a cockpit or bridge simulated in this game?
A. No, all the flight control and action occurs from outside the ship.

Q. How is the game controlled? Can I use a joystick?
A. The game is developed with a bias toward ease of use with game controllers (specifically PS4), and this is the recommended way to play. However the game is also developed to use mouse and keyboard controls, which work about as well (my opinion). A joystick would probably work, but would not be more useful than a M+KB (again my opinion).

Q. What's the style of combat?
A. The combat style is "naval," with broadside combat between large vehicles, and skirmishes with smaller fighters (you only pilot the larger vessels). It takes place on a plane, as if on an ocean in space. It is not intended to be a flight simulator.

Q. Can I put together a flotilla of ships in this game?
A. No, you're mostly going to be piloting your own vessel from place to place. You can hire one mercenary to follow you around in a smaller ship, though!

Q. Do I have to follow the story?
A. Nope! Go on and do your own thing.

Q. Um, the guitar slide music with white boys singing the blues is not my thing.
A. The launcher lets you assign multiple directories for alternative music to play, based on the game state (ie. combat, idle, ambient).

Q. Where is the official forum?
A. On Steam, unfortunately: http://steamcommunity.com/app/290300/discussions/#

Sub-Capitals. Thankfully no flying coffins aka fighters. Ship sizes as far as I can tell are in following smallest to biggest order:

Corvette
light Frigate
Frigate
heavy Frigate
Destroyer

I don't think the game is, at least of the moment, developed to play capital class ships like cruisers or battleships or even supercaps like Vaders Executor. Maybe (Hopefully :D ) with an expansion pack.
hmmm any size comparison? cant imagine a size difference between frigate and destroyer.. i mean how much bigger is the biggest ship compared to the first one for example or the destroyer compared to a heavy frigate^^

btw how many ships does this game have?

^-- Might be one more in there.

So yes, you can fly the biggest, most well armed ships in the galaxy! :-D
You can customize them with optional components too.

doctorfrog: Q. Does the game take place in a new open world each game (ie. randomly or procedurally generated each playthrough)?
A. No, though the game universe is very large, and the devs estimate up 20-40 hours of play based on the player.

Delighted to be wrong on this one. Thanks!
Does the main capital ship act as a mothership? Can it create smaller ships to fight in battles?

:-)

I have seen pirates assault a station and I think they took it over.
So I went to a pirate station and cleared out everything around it... but I can't get through station shields and no one is coming to board it.

So what I wanna know is ... how to capture a station?

Also how do I tell what rank I am in any given guild?

Goto the guild station and go into the guild leader office; it's at the bottom of the screen. :-)

Now what I wanna know is.... is there any place to just straight up buy Korian weapons, etc ?
I like their beams, but all I have found is a mk1 and mk4 beam; paltry compared to a mk6 pulse cannon.

Drop-only.
To get them easier, intercept "Invasion ship" on world map. They have higher drop chance for equipment.

I'll keep an eye out for invasion ships. :-)
Do they show up on the map like the pirate lords do?
