Delete GalaxyPeer.dll from your game directory

I was getting a crash immediately when launching the game, deleting GalaxyPeer.dll from the game directory fixed it.

I just renamed GalaxyPeer.dll and that seems to have solved the crash on startup for me

Sweet! Yeah good point, renaming will also solve the problem.

I did try to rename/delete "GalaxyPeer.dll", it did not work.

Note, I do not have GoG Galaxy installed.
Fixed my problem.

I found and deleted the "GOG.com" folder located here: "C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\" which included a galaxy folder.

Which for some mysterious reason was still there after I removed Galaxy long ago. And I could have swore I went through all folders and deleted them as well. So either I overlooked it, or it got installed with another game again.

Either way, it did fix my problem, and can run Rebel Galaxy without any renaming of files :)
I am unstickying this post for now as the crashing issue has been fixed. However, if you continue experiencing crashes after a fresh install of version 1.03 of Rebel Galaxy, please send your log files to our Support department :)
Fixed it by doing what Runibl did: " found and deleted the "GOG.com" folder located here: "C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\" which included a galaxy folder." I had uninstalled Gog galaxy and it left that folder that I didn't realize. So anyone else having this issue, make sure to delete that folder if you've uninstalled gog galaxy.
Another one crashing here...

I also had to delete the ProgramData\GOG.com folder. I assume it affects all who had Galaxy installed previously and are installing by the offline installer. My other pc never had Galaxy, there it worked immediately.

Please fix this, thanks :)

Thanks so much, this fixed it for me as well, and I"m also confused that this file would stay there after I deleted galaxy O.o
Rebel Galaxy has stopped working.
Occurs after pressing Start in the launcher.
I do not have a C:\ProgramData\GOG.com folder to delete.
Deleting GalaxyPeer.dll has no effect.

After trying a few things I found that blocking the game from accessing the internet is causing it to crash. So why does the game require internet access???
