Bug I have encountered so far, while playing 1.07 version of RP2:
Fixed in 1.08 version - No sound in intro (Windows and Linux)
Animated video which starts with Aristotle’s “Politics” is muted. Jujubee video that precedes it has a sound, as well as rest of the game (mostly). Fortunately I was able to watch it on YouTube.
Background music stops playing after few years (Windows and Linux)
I only tried ruling over Poland (Grand Campaign and Pandemic Aftermath) so far, and music is playing only when I start the game. Later I must bear the burden of leadership in almost total silence. I tried to be a peaceful ruler, and it is possible that the game is waiting for a start of a war or something else to share some more compositions of Adam Skorupa and Jürgen Cialon with me. Main menu and loading screen music works fine. Note that running the game with minimum input from my part (just responding to random events) preserves the music, so this bug is probably triggered by using spies to perform economic counterintelligence, developing projects or modernizing provinces.
Time stops at some date and is not advancing forward (only Linux so far)
This is most critical bug that I had to face so far. Time stopped at 2024.08.24. Saving and loading or restarting game did not help. It is possible that I broke something by frequent ALT+TABing between the game and an external music player. Testing it again after few days (and restarts of OS) repaired it somehow.
Actions of scroll wheel are reversed (only Linux)
This affects scrolling through blocks of text and zooming in and out. It’s a shame that I can’t set custom key mapping.
Here are my specs:
Linux Mint 20.3 (based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS) with 510.47.03 NVIDIA drivers
Windows 10 21H2 with 511.65 NVIDIA drivers
Intel Core i7 5820K (overclocked to 4200MHz)
ASRock X99 EXTREME 4 X99 (I use default audio drivers provided by both Windows and Linux for its Realtek ALC1150 Audio Codec)
Crucial 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 PC4-17000C16 2133MHz Quad Channel (overclocked to 2400MHz)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB SATA SSD
