Hi all,

For the German version of Realms of Arkania, we've uploaded a little file called "Music track fix" and we've uploaded a new Mac installer with the fixed tracks.

This fix is a response to this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/realms_of_arkania_series/roa2_german_cd_version_broken_audio_tracks and the subsequent Support tickets that followed :)

Please download the appropriate files in order to enjoy the German version free and clear of any audio corruption :)

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Thanks for the heads up!
Don't play in German, but fixes are always nice :)

I wish I didn't have to head to the forums each time I got a game update notice to find out what changed. Some kind of notification on the game info would be nice.
I wish the English version had proper music... Still, great fix for the German version users.
Great to see that you are constantly fixing issues, even if only one language is affected, like in this case. As a German who definitely intends to play those some day, I appreciate your work!

Both games can be played in English with CD music by making a few adjustments (Blade of Destiny, Star Trail).

Kudos for fixing it! :)

But: the fix seems to have introduced a new bug. Whenever I try to enter Tiefhusen in the fixed version of RoA2 the game displays "Drücken Sie Strg+F4 um zu weitergehen" with the only available option being "Weiter". Choosing "Weiter" will simply cause the message to come up again.
I suspect this has something to do with the game not being able to load the Tiefhusen music track (because it doesn't play, even though the city name is displayed).

Tiefhusen might not be the only affected location. I only encountered the issue by accident.

Playing the same savegame in the unfixed version yields no such problems.

I submitted a ticket here: http://www.gog.com/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/realms_of_arkania_1_2
The upload function only allowed images, so I included a dropbox link for the savegame file, if that's all right.
Or should I submit it somewhere else?

Dropbox is just fine :)

I have the same problem in Tiefhusen: pressing ctrl+f4 doesn't help.
did anyone give a solution to your ticket yet, FarTooNice?
You have to press "ctrl+f4" to switch the cd image and then "enter" to continue playing...
sorry, I forgot to mention that of course I hit enter like a jungle drum, too, not only ctrl-f4... but it will only always bring up the same textbox again... :(

edit: this only occurs in the mac version... i switched to the windows one and the same savegames work withou problems... maybe the ctrl-f4 just doens't work with the mac version of dosbox or boxer?!
