I finally found the official Riva strategy guide!

After, like, years of looking, I finally got myself the super duper elusive (and rare?) Riva guide! Oh my gosh was this thing hard to find, at least, for me it was. I have a thing for olde computer guides, haha!

Has this thing been posted before? Unlike books that take a while to scan(for me anyway, haha), this thing will be so easy to upload somewhere if not!

I'm just excited I finally found it! :D I can't believe how hard it is to find some olde computer stuff!

Sure! :) I know this place didn't have it with the game, but I wasn't sure if it was found elsewhere. I never could find it.

I'll upload it sometime very soon! I'll see if I can do it within the next few days :). I'll come back and post a link once it's up! Sorry for any wait if there is one.

To install, unzip into the "Riva/DATA" directory. When asked to overwrite, say yes. You're not overwriting anything, but more adding to it, so you don't need to worry about losing anything.

Once in the game, use the keyboard and press "SHIFT+F1 OR ALT-H'.

Then, the official strategy guide will open! :) It has maps, a guide, items, lists, etc.

And if you're wondering, yes, Strategy First is hosting the file ;). Strategy First has a history with Sir-Tech dating back, so it seems appropriate, doesn't it? ;)

If there's any problems with it, let me know! There shouldn't be, but if there is for some reason.

I forgot to mention too, once the guide opens, if you use the back arrow at the bottom, it'll take you to an index and table of contents :).

I just wanted to add my thanks too. I downloaded the files and copied your instructions above plus the added info into a text file and saved them off together where i keep all things gaming support related.

Finds like this are very nice to have, especially when I didn't have to do the finding! Thanks again for taking the time to share this with us.

Old Topic, i know, but I recently found my old german disc version again, and i remembered correctly, that i had a version including the hintbook.

So, i have a german version of the hintbook available, that works with the GoG Version :)

So, the Question is now, how could i properly make this available to you, or even better, make it available to GoG to include in their installer?

Does anyone still have it archived? Seems like the even the Wayback machine link is not working, although there are two snapshots which seems like they should be there, I can't download any of them.

So for the way back URL - copy and paste the ENTIRE URL... because it thinks there's "two" URLs in there. If you copy and paste the WHOLE URL - it will work (just tested it). :)
