Controller support in any of the ports of the Rayman games is atrocious at best. I tried all of the typical things like making sure to only have 1 controller plugged in to making sure the controller was active prior to running the game. Going into the options in for instance Rayman Origins I even tried resetting the controls and seeing if I could manually configure there without any luck. Lastly I tried 3 different controllers.

Of course you could always use something like Joy2Key but I'm definitely not doing that for just these games especially when they are advertised as having controller support in the GOG store. If I have to download something like GOG Galaxy to get that controller support I might as well refund and buy on Steam.

GOG needs to remove the "Controller support" as a game feature for the Rayman series as that's false advertisement.
You are correct. Doesn't seem to be any gamepad support out of the box. There's a controls section in the options, but it only has a gamepad calibration, that doesn't seem to work. As you mentioned, I'll be going the third party route.
