Hey, I have this problem that when I press escape to leave the options screen (I don't like the default key bindings), the game crashes. Is there a known solution to this?
I use windows 7 64bit
Have you tried playing the game as" an administrator" setting? that solved it for me, tho I'm using windows vista x64
I was having the same problem this morning (Vista, 64-bit). I'll try running as admin tonight and see whether that fixes it. Also thought it could be related to how Program Files is handled under Vista (not allowing files and folders under Program Files to be modified directly); I might try reinstalling to a different folder and see if that makes a difference, too.

Running the game as an Administrator also worked for me. I'm guessing that if you install the game to someone not in Program Files (i.e.: another hard drive, My Documents, etc.) that would also work.

I'm on WIndows 7 (64) and running as Administrator fixed this problem for me, too.
No need to run as admin - just change the security options on the folder to give "Users" full access. I did this and now it works perfectly. This has happened before with other gog games, seems as though the game has trouble writing to the folder unless full rights are granted to the local USERS group
You can (AFAIK) turn down the security in Win 7 to the "same" as XP. Saw it in a how-to, but sorry, don't have the link (or Win 7).
Thanks for the help everybody :), sorry I forgot to make this a question btw

I do not recommend doing that.

Running the game as administrator or changing the security settings on the game folder would be more efficient and secure way. Check the picture.
