Is it any better in the latest version of Galaxy?

If not, maybe consider using the non-Galaxy launcher (see attached).

work at 1080p but not at 4k resolution ...

The only workaround I know of is to set a lower desktop resolution or turn desktop scaling off.

Yes it sucks as hard as it sounds and another stab at the remaster which not only sucked when it came out but is now obsolete as well. GOG bring the Dos version please.
