Bought the game yesterday as a throwback to the great times I had playing it as a kid. However, I can't get the ship to move back and left at the same time on the keyboard, at least not while firing (and let's be honest, you're always firing in Raptor, I hadn't thought to try it with the gun not firing...). Any known solutions? Actually, now that I think of it, my first attempted solution will be switching up the controls to see if another combination works, but I can't do anything about it for a while anyway, so any advice in the meantime would be helpful.

The other question is: is there a way to kick the keyboard movement speed back up to Apogee levels? Even without the issue of the mouse control space being smaller than the game screen, I don't feel as comfortable playing with a mouse as with a keyboard, but I don't want to be crippled thanks to a bad port. Any ini or cfg files I can change to get my ship back to to speed?
Semi-Solved

Swapping the fire button to z and the switch button to x did the trick with the moving back and left thing, though I don't know what exactly was causing the problem with ctrl+back+left - probably some other process in the background was in the way.

Now is there any way to increase the keyboard speed?
