i have reinstalled the game 3 times and still get the same massage has anyone else got this problem? and if so how do i fix it
I get this error too. I've also tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice with the same results. It will not run. :( Any suggestions for getting this to work?
Try re-downloading the game.
Just did. I uninstalled it, then reinstalled the re-dwnloaded version, still gives the same error and refuses to work.I have Windows XP with SP3.

Strange. Unfamiliar with this issue. Try contacting GOG support.
I did. Nothing back from them yet. :(

They don't work on weekends. You'll probably get a response sometime this week.
Did you ever hear back from them? I just opened a ticket with GOG too and still no response. I'm starting to get a bit impatient...

Have you tried installing in different directory? That is, one that's not PROGRAM FILES (X86). You might be having some obscure rights problem. Make a temp directory, install there and see what happens (uninstall the existing installation first).
Artki, you're wondering if it's a Windows problem? That would make sense.

Yeah, that's my speculation. I haven't run into the situation but, reading about similar issues with old games and Win7, rights violoations and the PROGRAM FILES (X86) directory come up all the time.
The Launcher needs an installed dotNET-Runtimepackage, which is included in WinVista and Win7, but not in WinXP. Have you installed that RunTimePackage?

Maybe another solution: Try to use another Launcher, which doesn't need dotNET:

Hi. I have the same problem in Win7 :(
I bought this game just a couple of minutes ago and had the same problem (Windows 7). Just change the directrory when you first install the game.

Do not use the default one: PROGRAM FILES (X86).

Just put it somewhere else, i put mine in some folder under D:, but anywhere should work.

Happy hunting. :)
I found this organization scheme somewhere on the internet. Make a directory called "Stuff". Organize everything in Stuff alphabetically.

I've got Raptor in "\Stuff\G\Games\Shooter\Raptor - Call of the Shadows".

It's amazing. I can actually find stuff on my HD without using the search function. ;)
