I had emailed gog to let them know about Eagle Watch addon info included in RainbowsSix(abbreviating:R6). I got an email stating R6 doesn't work under windows 11. I had got my copy working. My copy was from a Windows 10 pro hard drive that I had installed from an original game cd. (not R6 gold, which has the Eagle Watch addon). I later upgraded my computer. The following information is best I can remember. I am telling it to help others or gog team. I then upgraded my pc - got a new one. I transferred the R6 files from an old hybrid hdd to a new similiar hdd. That had win11. R6 had problems running. After I installed gogR6 on the same drive. I was able to get both versions R6gog and R6cd. Then I decided to uninstall my rainbow six cd version and the gog version will not play now.



I still have copies of game, access to Windows 10 and 11 I just posted the above info to help get it working on Windows 11.

The install file to install the voxware codecs doesn't support windows 11, it could be updated to support the ogg audio format for the gog installer as it accidently may not have supported those file types now for certain win*.dll or other audio dynamic link libraries.

Am able to use open AL soft to get both CD music and ingame audio working, but when I run The main single player game it crashes... This requires openAL to be installed -32-bit,I think. Still messing around trying to get things to work. See readme file ; Using soft_oal.dll in /bin directory and router file openAL32.dll in /router directory of openal-soft-1.24.3-bin zip file. The indirectsound wrapper did not work for me .

Does someone have the correct sound values for the registry? 1 I erased others were already messed up with wrong values: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

(device id may be wrong too, but left it alone.)

example:
SoundFxVolume REG_SZ 1.000000
where it has volumes with hexidecimal change to type of REG_SZ then value is a 1. with six zeroes. CD audio music in menus requires another fix elsewhere in forum. You may want to backup and restore the registry before editing it. Used wrappers etc. to get video working.
