Big business never sleeps, and today we’re not only excited to release a truckload of new content Railway Empire, but also to reveal a development roadmap, to illustrate the improvements we’ve already made and what we’re planning for the future:

With this latest free content update, we’ve added a whole host of new goodies to our shiny new tycoon sim (check out the full changelog on GoG here: https://www.gog.com/forum/railway_empire/changelog ). Big Thank you to @HypersomniacLive and @KingCross for being faster than me :P \m/

First and foremost though is the brand-new scenario, which is all about love! Or at least, we think it is. Wait, were those really hearts we saw in his eyes, or were they dollar signs? You’ll have to play it for yourself to find out!

And speaking of the future, in the next couple of months, players will be able to look forward to the following additions:
- The introduction of one huge North American map for the game’s ‘Free Mode’, covering West to East coast and also including a complete tech-tree spanning almost all of the tech innovations available in the full 100 years of the steam revolution.
- A selection of further free updates, which will include new content, enhanced AI, bug fixes and other general improvements inspired directly by player feedback.

Players will see these new updates begin to roll out over the next couple of months, first for the PC version and then for consoles shortly after. In the meantime, Kalypso will continue to collect player feedback and reports, working to implement them wherever possible.
